Alex Amylon

Alex grew up in North Scituate, Rhode Island. He played 4 years of indoor collegiate volleyball at Newbury College in Boston, MA. while studying Graphic Design and Communications. Alex was a Libero for all four years of his college career and earned the award of New England Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Year his senior year. After graduating Alex spent time still playing recreationally until finding his passion for Beach Volleyball in 2016. In 2017, after playing in some AVP Qualifiers, Alex decided to move to Hermosa Beach in 2018 to chase his passion for Beach Volleyball where he trains full time as an aspiring pro.

Alex’s coaching experience spans over a timeline of 15 years. Indoors he has coached from the club level all the way up to the collegiate level.

On the beach Alex has worked with kids as young as 9 years old all the way up to adults in their 70s. He has experience coaching athletes at the youth club level, recreational adults, AVP pros, and Tokyo Olympians.

Runs Adult Classes for Recreational Players in the South Bay
