Manhattan Beach, CA.

The Southern California duo of Kelly Belardi and Savannah Standage dominated 12U beach volleyball this summer. The pair won The Big 3… AAU Junior Olympics, USA Junior Nationals and CBVA Cal Cup. For the latter they were honored at the CBVA Hall of Fame presentation by Olympic medalist April Ross and Olympian Sean Rosenthal. They won 9 of 10 CBVA Tour Stops.  Both players made the USAV A1 Junior National High Performance team. At age 12, they earned their “A” rating beating players of all ages. Kelly Belardi also won the USAV High Performance 13U Championship.

“They have put in the time at practice. It’s amazing to be able to work on offensive and defensive strategies with 12 year olds” MBsand coach Patty Dodd said. “They have great ball control and compliment each other with their game and personality. They understand the wind and have high expectations of each other. Kelly and Savannah have a drive to win that is uncommon at this age”. Version 3

Kelly: “Savannah is an outstanding player and I always had complete confidence in her. As we played together more, and with the help of Coach Patty, we developed a strong partnership based on communication, mutual respect, and hard work”

Savannah: “Kelly is my favorite partner. We were friends not only on the court but off too and she was there to lift me up when I wasn’t playing well. I could not have won so many tournies this year without Kelly and Coach Patty.  Both made me a better player and a better person!”
